Kolovrat
Discover the breathtaking natural and cultural attractions of the Soča Valley.

This scenic tour combines spectacular landscapes, poignant history, and authentic corners of Slovenia. Along the way, the Soča River, famous for its emerald hue, will accompany us, creating an unforgettable natural backdrop.

We will visit the Javorca Memorial Church, a unique place steeped in symbolism and emotion. Located high in the valley and surrounded by forests, this church, dedicated to the soldiers of the First World War, is today a powerful symbol of peace, remembrance, and reconciliation. This tour is available from the end of June to the end of September. During other parts of the year we visit Tolmin castle.

The experience continues in the Tolmin Gorge, one of the country’s most beautiful natural wonders. We will walk among narrow canyons, crystal-clear waters, and rock formations sculpted by time, experiencing both the power and tranquility of nature.

The tour culminates at Kolovrat Hill, which rises above the Soča Valley and offers spectacular panoramic views. On clear days, the view stretches from the winding emerald river to the Adriatic Sea. Once a key strategic position during World War I, Kolovrat is now an open-air museum where history and nature merge in an atmosphere of silence and reflection.

This excursion is perfect for those who wish to explore the Soča Valley in depth, combining unforgettable landscapes, fascinating history, and moments of genuine connection with nature.
