Do you want to experience one of the most famous postcards of Slovenia?
We pick you up at your hotel in Ljubljana and head to the majestic Julian Alps, where the jewel of the country awaits us: Lake Bled.
After a drive of just one hour to Lake Bled, we will arrive at this fairytale destination. We will start our sight-seeing from above — from the Bled Castle, perched on a cliff at a height of 130 meters. There, you’ll have free time to explore it independently or with a guide, enjoying the spectacular views.
Your guide will reveal the story of Arnold Rikli, the Swiss doctor who turned Bled into a prestigious health and well-being center.
It is also possible to taste delicious Bled cream cake and have a coffee with amazing views.
We will take you to the spot where you will have approximately two hours of free time. You can explore the beautiful lake by walking around it (to walk around you will need 2 hours), or you can take some pictures from the viewpoint Ojstrica, or go on the traditional boat Pletna to discover the island in the middle of the lake (1.5 hours). You can also take a walk to admire the elegant and historic Villa Bled, former residence of Marshal Tito (the first president of Yugoslavia), and the iconic island with its church, one of the most recognizable images of Slovenia.
You can also visit the Bled Olympic Rowing Center, where you will discover the importance of this sport in the area.
During the summer time you can also jump into the lake and swim surrounded by the mountains.
At the end of the excursion, we will return to Ljubljana feeling like we have visited a true natural paradise.
