Logar Valley (in Slovenian Logarska dolina) is one of the most beautiful alpine valleys in Slovenia. Located in the north of the country, in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, near the border with Austria, the valley is part of a protected landscape park, meaning nature is very well preserved.
The visit begins in the stunning Logar Valley, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in Europe. Surrounded by high mountains, green meadows and fresh air, we will enjoy a scenic walk through this protected natural environment. Along the way we can admire traditional wooden farmhouses and, weather permitting, visit the spectacular Rinka Waterfall (Slap Rinka), one of the symbols of Logar Valley.
The valley is approximately 7 kilometres long and surrounded by high mountains, forests and alpine meadows. It is a typical example of a glacial valley, formed during the last ice age. One of the most famous spots is the Rinka Waterfall, approximately 90 metres tall — this is also where the Savinja River originates.
The excursion continues to Mozirski gaj, a beautiful floral park alongside the Savinja River. This garden is known for its colourful flower arrangements, small bridges, traditional mills and themed exhibitions that change with the seasons. It is an ideal place for a leisurely stroll, taking photographs and enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
